The Western Bitters News site is still all fouled up so I am encouraging all of you bitters lovers to go ahead a post your bitters related items on this here whiskey/western glass site. Seems the soleagent is off digging so I reckon he won't mind us commandeering his site for awhile!

    I started collecting about 40 years ago. I've always leaned toward western bitters and whiskies and the Dr. Henley's IXL are a favorite. I'm just a retired guy, on a limited income these days but the chance to get a green one sure got me interested.

    The pictures that you put up on ebay are pretty fuzzy so am guessing that the color is off too. There's an outfit called American Bottle Auctions that had the last green one I heard of for sale a couple of years ago. It was number 14 in the April 2007 auction It brought about what you want for yours but I couldn't afford it at the time. Could you log into their website, compare yours with theirs and let me know how they match up in terms of color and condition?

    I'm pretty well fixed right now and would love to add another top shelf bitters to my collection.

  8. Yeah never buy paper from the guy. I still have a nice copy of a stock cerficate i bought when i was young and dumb. No doubt he has some nice stuff but the way he has aquired some of it is shady.

  9. The seller claims that Marty appraised their "apple green", nay aqua, IXL at $3100. two years ago. Knowing him, I find that rather difficult to believe. The so called "source" for the bottle further distances it from reality. So far, they are adamant that the bottle is nowhere near aqua. I realize that I wear corrective lenses but I sure as hell ain't color blind.
